The 1st Annual Week for UK Animals will be July 3-11, 2010.There will be much media attention to this exciting Week which will celebrate the animals of the UK. All rescues, sanctuaries and animal supportive groups will be listed (at no cost) on the front page of www.ukanimals.org.
Any event planned by the groups (small, large, educational, fundraiser, adoption, volunteer orientation etc.) will be posted on the calendar pages of www.ukanimals.org with a direct link to the group's own website. We have Re-homed two dogs since starting at the begining of the year. we fund everything ourselves from petrol, feeding , vets fees and even council pound fees . We advertise on viva street and preloved and we have also recently had leaflets printed at our expense to post out to all dog homes and pound also to vets and pet shops advertising that we rehome gsd's and will take any gsd and travel any distance to ensure a german shepherd is saved from the street and we also vet ALL our adoptive homes first. Warwickshire: After the T.A.R.R.S appeal for new premises, I'm still looking for somewhere to hold the dogs that can't go into immediate foster homes. Does any rescue/private kennels have either two or three kennels spare that can be used for rescue dogs until they are vaccinated, neutered, assessed etc?. Willing to pay rent fees (reasonable offers) but can't find anywhere in Warwickshire that can take unvaccinated dogs due to licensing conditions. Any location considered but would help to be as close to Warwickshire as possible. Thank you.

Warwickshire: I'm launching an URGENT APPEAL. On Saturday 21st November The Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Society was given an eviction notice to leave the premises where we keep the animals. We have approximately 4 weeks to move the current animals out of the kennels and put them into temporary accommodation. We currently have cats and dogs with uncertain futures, plus the stray dogs have nowhere to go. I set up the charity to give animals a second chance after the 7 days in the pound and are not claimed. Without organisations such as T.A.R.R.S the dogs would automatically be put to sleep if no homes can be found for them; sometimes just after the 7 days if they are the wrong type of dog. T.A.R.R.S strives to rehome almost all of the dogs; very occasionally there will be one which cannot be rehomed due to it being illegal in the U.K, very ill, or pose a real threat to the general public - fortunately these are rare circumstances! The dog's quality of life is paramount to any decision which has to be made. WE NOW URGENTLY NEED EITHER KENNELS/ACCOMMODATION FOR THE DOGS, EVEN IF IT'S ON A TEMPORARY BASIS. ALTERNATIVELY IF ANYONE, OR IF YOU KNOW OF ANYONE WHO CAN OFFER A SUITABLE PIECE OF LAND/STABLES WITHIN A REASONABLE RADIUS OF STRATFORD-ON-AVON DISTRICT THEN PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET IN TOUCH AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Lincolnshire: I have just opened a new Riding School and sold some of our ponies before the move but will need to replace with two lead rein ponies, one horse weight carrying around 14hh and a large heavy weight carrier if anyone is struggling to pay their bills and can not afford to keep any of the above I would happily re home, but would want ownership and, if did not work out am happy to offer you first refusal I can give you contacts of old owners of ponies we have one of my ponies was going to be shot through laminitus and she is still with us, so happy to take on mild ailments she is our most popular pony now, and she will stay until she dies.
